Design Metropolitan Stone maintains an architectural design facility to ensure the stone replacement components we produce for your architectural restoration project will be accurately detailed and sized to fit perfectly into the existing structure in your project. Our design facility includes an up to date suite of graphic design and editing software which means we can receive your electronic design proposal data in several different formats including AutoCAD dwg and dxf formats as well as graphic formats including pdf, psd, ai, jpg, gif, bmp, tiff, stl, 3ds and eps. Restoration The architectural restoration process frequently requires the ability to re-make details that have become broken or eroded and diminished over years of subjection to the natural elements of wind and water as well as the effects of relatively modern day pollution or vandalism. Our stone carvers are knowledgeable in historic stone construction and carving methods and motifs and can restore even the most severely time and weather eroded details to their original state in the replacement stone work we will provide for you. New Construction We will visit your jobsite to take field measurements and photographs where necessary to ensure the dimensional cut stone we provide for you will fit perfectly. We will meet as often as needed with your architect, home owner, general contractor, or builder to ensure the smoothest possible flow of finished materials our production constraints will allow.
